Writing Task Conjunctions

Description:
We have had to make 7 sentences with a conjunction in it. My 7 sentences are about a little girl with her mum at the pet shop looking for a pet. Here are my 7 sentences I have made and the photo. ( In the photo are green box’s with a word in it they are when you don’t use a lot, like the blue box’s, they are what you will use more than the green ones.


Bella went out to pat the dog but before she new it the dog bite her.

Bella ran to her mum while she was in pain.

Bella said to her mum a dog bite her so that the dog would get a smack.

Her mum walked up to the dog since the dog was in a bad mode.

The dog struck in fear as though the dog had learnt a lesson.

They had a walk because they wanted to get there mind of things.


Bella opened the door while dad had just arrived for lunch.

Writing Activity

We had to put ing words at the start off 2 sentences. Here are my 2 sentences I have been working on.

Catch Me If You Can- Defense

Description:
Every week we learn about skills and movement that will help us play sports. This term’s focus has been around defense. We made a video showing some of the goals we have been practicing. I have highlighted the thing I think I have done well YELLOW and one thing I would like to work on PINK.


Body:
WALT: Defensive skills and movements
Success Criteria:
Body Movement
  • Weight on balls of feet
  • Feet shoulder width apart
  • Knees flexed
  • Concentration and eyes on ball, head and eyes up
  • Push hard off outside foot and go forwards to attack pass
  • Quick small feet, stay on balls of feet
  • Arms within confines of body
  • Take feet to ball
  • Land with a SBP
Intercepting
  • Body angled to see player and ball
  • Anticipate pass and player movement
Restrictive Marking
  • Meet player as they start towards the ball/where they want to go
  • stay close to the attacking player
  • Head and eyes up, arms close to body to avoid obstruction/contact
  • Angle body so attacking player is ‘pushed’ away from where he/she wants to go
  • 0.9m from ball carrier

Evaluation:  
I think I need to work on pushing hard off outside foot and go forwards to attack pass. I think I have done good on looking at the ball and staying close to the player.

Discovery Time

Description: 
Every friday we do Discovery Time. It is were the teachers right 10 activities we are allowed to do. This friday (15/05/2015) I chose decorating the cloak bay with chalk. We had to show Inspire creativity excellence and agency. Olivia Emma Rilegh and I have showed Inspire other people. Here are the pictures we use for decorating the cloak bay.

Independent Writing Task

During our workshop we had to put ing at the start of our sentences. All the 6 sentences had to start with Arriving by moonlight, there were three of us. Here are my 6 sentences:

Arriving by moonlight, there were three of us at the school disco.

Arriving by moonlight, there were three of us going into the mistress cave.

Arriving by moonlight, there were three of us at the ball.

Arriving by moonlight, there were three of us of to the shops.

Arriving by moonlight, there were three of us at the house.

Arriving by moonlight, there were three of us at the school ready to learn.

Writing Goal 2015

Description:
Poutama had a sheet that was sentences words and ideas. My goal is words. In words I am working on connectives. Our task was to look at our writing book, and find the things that the box in the sheet tells us to look for. I chose connectives because the box had no ticks that I had some.

Completing Sentences

We have been doing some completing sentences in our writing group. Our task was to fill in the sentences. It had to be finished the next day. I hope you like my sentences.

Here are some tips to filling in the sentences:

  • Make your teacher or family proud
