This weeks hands on home work was to tell you how to get to school but we did the way we go home so  I did it different.

 Purpose:  To get home safely. 

1. Get scooter from bike cage.

2. Meet Jack at the Crossing.

3. Cross the road at the crossing. Then go right.

4. Turn left into Matamau Street.

5. Stop at Roy Street look left and right checking for any cars.

6.Walk scooter across the road when it is clear.

7. Then turn right head to words Tremaine Ava.

8. Turn left when you see a sign saying North Street, when you see it turn left.

9. Then head home.

10.  YAY Afternoon Tea time.

Character Description

We are leaning how to write a character description using similes.

Dad

My Dad has brow eyes like a grizzly bear's fur. He is bald because he doesn't no what to do with his hear. His hear sticks up like a pencils' he likes it that way. He likes to wear stripy tops for work. His favorite breakfast is week bix. He is as funny as a monkey. His nose is pointy like the end of a carrot. He eats a lot of food because he is big and strong.

He likes to put black shoes on for work. When he as a smile on his face he twinkles of joy. When he finished a game of sport he really needs a shower. He is large. He is probably 24 feet high. His skin is a dark coluer but when he is wearing clothes his body turns pale, but he is not sick. 

My Dad Can be series sometimes. Sometimes he doesn't get jokes. Mostly he he dose get jokes.

He acts like the boss but I like him that way. So he can tell me off. But we have lots of fun together. When he gets mad he starts to yell and stop. But when he is happy he's calm. 

When he see's other people Dad is like the popular Dad in the world. When he is around town I would hold his hand so I do not get lost. Because there is a lot of people around town.

My Dad likes to stay home and rest, he watches TV, on the I-Pad, on the computer and he waters my plants when I do not water them. My Dad as a Holden car. It is a sliver and grey coluer. It was his Dad's car now it is my Dad's car. So it is a very old car lucky it stole works.

 His Dad lives in Christchurch. So when it is poppa's birthday he will ring him up and say " Happy Birthday Dad and have a good day. Bye Dad." Sometimes he will see my Dad.  

My Dad is a account. He is the boss at work he as a cilent. His name is Donald they are really good friends together.

We are learning a variety of new dance moves and how to dance in time with the music.

Kidsedchatnz Poster

We are learning about Kidsedchatnz and how the different twitter symbols work.
 This is my poster first we need to go on pages right some nice words of Twitter. After that you need to cut out a twitter bird than color it in blue after that you need to glue it in the middle. Next draw the symbols than glue them on the bird. If you down loud tweet deck this will be more faster. Hands On Home Work

Hand on home work was to make a healthy snack to share with the class. I made pin wills. Here are the ingredients.

1. Cheese,grated

2. Ham, chopped

3. Pastry 

4. Pizza Sauce 

5. A Dash Of Milk With I Cooking Brush

6. A Knife  

  Now we start baking them have fun making them good luck

1.Spread Out The Pizza Sauce, leaving 1cm At Top.

 2. Put The Ham On Top. 

3. Then Put The Cheese On Top Too.

4. Slowly Roll The Pastry.

5. Get The Cup Of Milk With The Brush. And Brush The Top Where You Did The Line.

6. Finish Rolling The Pin Wheels Up.

7. Get Your Mum Or Dad To Mark Where You Cut Them. Then You cut Them But Be Careful With Your Fingers.

8. Place on Oven Tray, Bake for 20 min at 200 degrees

9. This Is The Last Step. Finally Time To Eat Them Up " Good-bye Pin  Wheels!" Yummy

Cornflour And Water Experiment

Cornflour And Water Experiment

A few weeks ago we did a science experiment about cornflour and water. Here is what I thought would happen before it.

Question= What will happen if we mix cornflour and water together?  

Prediction= “I think when you touch the water and cornflour and water together is will feel slimy.”

Ingredients / Material (The things we need):

• cornflour
• water
• spoon
• bowl
• pepper towers
• measuring cup   
• Camera
• Jug of water

Method ( the steps we need):

1. Get a measuring cup and measure 1 cup of cornflour then put it into the bowl
2. get a jug of water
3. Put 2 cap full of food coloring in the water
4. Mix the food colouring with a spoon and mix it in the water
5. Add half of the ¼ cup of water mixture to the cornflour in the bowl
6. mix the mixture with a spoon
7. Add a whole cup of water to the mixture
8. Mix the cornflour and water mixture together
9. Add another ¼ cup of the water solution to the cornflour
10. Add another 4 drops of food colouring
11. Add more cornflour or water as needed to the mixture
12. Mix the mixture with our hands

Book Character

On Monday the 5th of August at Russell street school we had a awesome dress up day. We had to dress up as your favourite book character. The parade started at 10:45am. At lunch there was a book sale for 2 dollars. I  went to get a chapter book. I was dressed up as a cat from cat and mouse in a hunted house. Here are 4 photos.

365 Cereal

Today was the first day of selling our breakfast cereal that we have been making. We had an excellent turn out and were really pleased with the results.
How many boxes did we sell? Well during Maths time today we worked out the result! Check out our thinking!

In Maths at the moment we are learning about Statistics. Today we went down to Tremaine Ave and collected data on the different types of vehicles and different colour vehicles. 
Which car colour was the most popular? Well would you believe white came out on top and it was closely followed by silver!

End Of The Term 2

Today was the last day of term 2, yippee! It has been the busiest term that I can remember and as a reward for all our hard work we decided to let our hair down a little.

Production Writing

The Moment I skipped into the massive door of the regent theater. The floor was so creamy flammables floor. I remember I forgot my hat. Dun Dun Dun. I was very very nervous. I sprained up the stirs like a crazy bull to find Stephen! I saw Grace. I said scary to Grace " Do you now were Stephen is?" So she said back to me " sorry I don't no. why?" I said scary " You will find out." So Grace came with me to find out. We looked everywhere. Just than we found him. I yelled quality " Stephen I forgot my hat." I think my Mum and Dad are coming soon We saw them at the front of the regent door. I said scary " MUM MUM I left my hat at home. " So Stephen said to Mum " Do you want her to have no hat or a Hat."We rushed to the car. We saw the hat. We looked at the time. It It was 8:30pm. It was show time! We saw the hat we rushed to the car to get there.

When it was as I was on the stage. I was nervous and scared I was having a great time on stage. The song was Love Actually. The move was Jump. The girls were maids and the boys were the pr ministers. When it was over I was proud of myself it was pitch black. A minute later. When all the other dances were over it was the teachers dance. The red curtain was down. Just then the curtain went up when the music was going. Stephen was so so funny in his orange dress and his blue high hells.

Now its time for the finally dance. The song was called Take It Easy. The teachers were at the back at the front it was year 1to 6 year kids. I loved that dance because it was the all school song to dance too.

After that dance we skipped to get our feather daters and brooms and other things. When we got every thing we skipped to the stage when there were 6 or 5 kids they opened the curtains. The family's and other people were got there eye on as and stirred like a scad monkey wanting as to leave. When Nick was coming on stage we He said " Look for your mum and family. Wast we sure them we went to Nick and he said " Were are your family?" So I said " There the man that is waving his hand. When Nick rode what way to go. When we got out of the awesome regent theater we went to thevcar I said to my dad " Were is mum? So my wonderful dad said why " She is at home making coffees with her Mum and Dad. Just when were at home Mum toed me and my brother to get in the shower. After that we went to bed. Z z Z z Z z Z z Z  z Z.

Cups At Assembly

4-5 and the i bots add a great time doing there assembly. At the start when the class were coming a kid said to me " Are you doing cups." I said yes he new that because the some of the class add cups. Then the assembly stared. When it was cups time we went to the places we were put in too. Me Georgia, Hannah and Jett were in a circle. We were in a circle because we were rotating cups. Here are as playing cups hope you like it.

The Area is the distance inside of the shape.

I are going to show you how to measure The square but did you know that the square is a Rectangle.

Visitors At My House

 I had just come home with nut mug and tatty teddy they came from overseas. We went to play checkers the Teddy's played against my brother Jack and the Teddy's Win they were really happy. Now we went to do Homework we did our maths then we did spelling. We went to the vegetable shop to get food for dinner we walked with Tatty Teddy, Nut Mug, Bella and Jack. Once we got home we played tag outside with Jack. Then we were so tired out that we went to watch TV. Now we went to get dinner it was really really healthy. Than we went to play with the the pets. We were having pudding now because this is the only bit for the week. The ice-cream was called cookies and cream ice-cream. Now we went to bed at 7:30pm we had a good time together but they had to go on Wednesday the 12 of June. Here is some photos.
